One of the most promising yet untapped fintech markets, Vietnam is witnessing a massive influx of technology companies. While these companies are actively aspiring to become an extension of financial institutions and enable a range of services including digital banking, e-wallets, blockchain, cryptography & others, they direly need an inclusive platform to target the right niche.

To close this market gap, Vietnam’s top-tier financial services event, World Financial Innovation Series (WFIS) is coming to the capital city on 15 – 16 April 2025. Scheduled to take place at the iconic 5-star venue, Meliá Hanoi, WFIS is Vietnam’s only platform that’s going to project the pulse of the financial sector in collaboration with Vietnam Banks Association (VNBA) that has taken the bold stand as the “Supporting Partner” for the 3rd Consecutive Year.

Frankie Wai, Business Solution Director from Temenos APAC, one of the leading solution providers at the upcoming event stated his views on the industry and the significant role of WFIS, “With the right investment in digital innovation, regulatory support, and an expected annual growth rate of 8.85% - the potential for Vietnam's banking sector is unstoppable! Temenos is proud to lead the way in Vietnam, shaping the future of banking together at WFIS 2025.”

While shedding light on Vietnam’s evolving financial services landscape, Ammara Masood, GM Global Industries, Banking and Financial Services from Systems Limited, another leading provider at WFIS, expressed “Vietnam's banking sector is in a digital and AI revolution, fueled by rapid innovation, solid regulatory support for growth, and a dynamic fintech ecosystem. As a leading global systems integrator, Systems APAC is committed to accelerating this transformation by delivering next generation solutions that drive growth, innovation, compliance, agility and unique customer experiences.”

She further stated, “WFIS Vietnam serves as a critical platform to foster collaboration, exchange insights, and shape the future of financial services in this high-growth market. We are proud to be a platinum sponsor and look forward to contributing to Vietnam’s banking modernization journey.”

Acknowledging Vietnam’s digital leaps, the conference will even work towards supporting the country’s national objectives including Vietnam’s Vision 2045. Shedding light on the exemplary vision will be the Chief Economist from the state-owned bank BIDV, Luc Can.

In a statement issued, post-confirming his participation for WFIS, Luc Can expressed, “I appreciate the WFIS 2025 in the context of rapid digital finance development globally and in Vietnam. For Vietnam, it is even more meaningful since the Government is adopting several breakthroughs in science & technology, innovation and digitalization for achieving higher productivity and efficiency, and thus higher economic growth till 2030 and vision to 2045; in which financial innovation is one of the key enablers. The event is also expected to bring about opportunities for sharing knowledge and expertise and networking in various aspects”.

Along with Luc, the platform will give a stage to the most renowned thought leaders, whose vision and brilliance have played an integral part in shaping the nation’s financial sector. Some of these esteemed names include:

  • Quoc Hung Nguyen, Vice Chairman and Secretary General, Vietnam Banks Association
  • Cong Quynh Lan Tran, Deputy General Director / CIO, VietinBank

With a reputation that’s second to none and an objective that prioritizes excellence, innovation and industry-wide upgrades, WFIS will gather 500+ leading FSI luminaries including the most in-demand technology moguls from the country’s Banks, Insurance companies & Micro-Finance institutions.

WFIS will particularly present a window to the nation’s burgeoning fintech market that’s forecasted to reach $41.76 billion by 2029.
